So today I did something that I have been missing and have not done it WAY to long, went for a bike ride. I finally took a new turn when running the other day and found a nice (almost safe) path to ride from my house to the local bike path. I have been missing bike riding since I moved here just over a year ago. I have ridden a few times but nothing major, because it has always meant me to put the bike in the car, drive to the path, unload the bike, ride, load the bike, then drive home and unload. To much of a chore and not something I always wanted to do.
Now I can ride from my garage and not have to put the bike in the car, the only bad part is the first mile or so, its a 2 lane road with mild traffic and NO shoulder with a 50 mph speed limit. Sort of dangerous but just have to pay close attention. Kind of a back road and I would not suspect many drivers expect anyone to be riding a bicycle there, so I have to be extra cautious.
I did triathlons before I really starting just running, so that is where my running habits started. Its been a while since I last raced a tri and have been craving to get into another one. I am thinking of Oct 2008 for an Ironman distance race. If I race there it will be 6 years since my last Ironman, I have done sprint distance races since. Wow, sounds like forever now.

Then of course I went for a short run, just to test my legs. It was only 1.70 miles but it felt GREAT.
