I have been enjoying the challenge, and although I had one really bad week with almost no running I am just getting my butt kicked. It’s still been a lot of fun though and when this one ends on the 10th I would love to get another one.

So I had wanted to do this last year but for some reason just did not. This year I planned (plan) to do it, and by strange coincidence it is the same day that I have a run planned. So I guess the first 13.1 miles of my 50k can be applied to the World Wide Half. I plan to run with my Nike+ so I can easily tell my 13 mile time.

Another great day to be a runner, hot and sunny but with a nice wind. The wind is helpful because it at least makes it feel cooler. A decent run, just over 5 miles. My overall pace was good but starting to slow a lot at the end. Another mile or two would have put me into the 9 or 9:30 minute mile range I think.

Oh well, I enjoyed the time I spent running that day. It was great to get out and just look at the world around me and spend some alone time thinking.
